My suggestion of running a class is as follows (although this is not obligatory)
1. Make a thread entitled Lesson 1 and actually roleplay the lesson, with you asking questions and letting students reply (I know this can take a while but it can be a lot of fun)
2. When you have roleplayed the lesson a while, make a new thread with the homework to be done. I don't suggest making it too difficult, maybe a short one/two paragraph essay or a few questions to answer. Give a date the homework is due and stick to it.
3. Mark the homework and PM the students back with their grades/points awarded/comments. You can do this as you recieve it or all at the end.
4. PM myself with the housepoints awarded so I can update the hourglasses.
5. Lock the original lesson rp thread (or if you can't I shall do it when the lesson is complete, PM me to let me know) and start a new thread called Lesson 2 and repeat Steps 1-4
I hope this helps. This is not set in stone, it can be varied but it needs to remain simple to keep the interest of the members
